A – consultancy visit

Visit my website  Japanese garden +

To guide you in the design of your garden, I will come to your house to give you some ideas and advice on how to lay out the outside areas, and point you towards various materials and plants.

After I have found out what you want and need, and seen your garden, we will discuss the following:

  • The layout options, with the various forms to be retained in your garden (form of terrace, pathways, flowerbeds, etc.)
  • The materials that could be used and the suppliers you can obtain them from.
  • Various locations for lighting.
  • Types of plants to be used according to the layout, exposure, soil, etc.

Thanks to this visit and various perspective drawings I will do on site, you can then calmly start work on your garden by applying and adapting the suggestions I have given you.

I can make several consultancy visits. The initial session before work starts for basic ideas; another during the work to answer any questions and give you further suggestions, and a final visit when the work is completed to suggest a few finishing touches.

These consultancy visits will give you an idea of the time needed for creating an aesthetically pleasing garden with a personal touch.

What's the difference between a consultancy study and a consultancy visit?

B – CONSULTANCY STUDIES

A consultancy study gives you a plan for the layout of your garden with the general forms retained, materials used and a visualisation of the project through photomontages or computerised images + The consultancy study is the first phase in obtaining a high quality garden design: this is when the initial outlines of the various layouts and forms of your future garden are laid down, which then develop into the final layout chosen for the landscaping. This study gives you a precise plan of the garden, factoring in the orientation and existing environment.

C – TECHNICAL STUDY

This study optimises the rendering of your garden through technical media. This stage makes it easier to understand the work carried out in order to achieve a harmonious result with an appealing aesthetic.

With a technical study, I draw up a plan of the flowerbeds, where the aim is to have a pleasant garden full of colour all year round (you can plant the plants yourself). The technical details provide a clear picture of the layout chosen.
All the systems plans (rainwater, lighting, etc.) avoid any inconveniences caused by oversights when the work is carried out. A watering plan will be provided if the design includes one, so that you can enjoy luxuriant vegetation and a lush green lawn all year round, while saving water.

Finally, as regards enclosures, gates, garden sheds, open or covered swimming pools and various constructions (even if more than 170 m²), I will fill in your "declaration de travaux" (declaration of work) form and get it signed by an architect with a State licence.

  •   A practical description of your design project for the firm chosen
